The 23rd Annual Chrysler Convention will be held, rain or shine, August 24, 2008 at the Connecticut Golfland, Route 83 Vernon, CT. This is a Charity show to support MDA. This is New England 's Largest All Mopar Judged Show & Swap in the same location. We accept all vehicles that come under the Mopar Umbrella and will have classes for them. We recommend pre-registration to validate a class (10 cars needed per class for trophies). There is an AMC, Jeep, 1981 and newer vehicles, trucks and all the usual Muscle classes.
This show celebrates its 21st anniversary at this location. Food will be available. There will be music by “MELODY MAKER”, a local DJ firm. There are lots of kid friendly activities on the grounds. The children will get a free game of miniature golf and arcade tickets. For any donation to MDA, parents will get the same tickets for Golfland amusements.
Pre-registration is encouraged to prepare for proper class breakdown and to keep the lines moving so as all cars can get registered and parked as quickly as possible. In the event of foul weather, all pre-registrations will have their T-shirts and dash plaques mailed out. This year's event T-shirt will pay tribute to the 40th anniversary of the world's quickest Super Stocks, 1968 Dart and Barracudas. T-shirts can be ordered in advance for $15 and picked up at the show. Please send along the size.
Goodie bags will include dash plaque, T-shirt and samples (constantly changing). T-shirts to the FIRST 150 vehicles REGISTERED on SUNDAY!!!
There will be up to 20 Judged Classes with 1st , 2nd, and 3rd. A minimum of 10 vehicles constitutes a class for trophies. Anything less than this is subject to revision. Download a PDF version of the Class Breakdown Sheet.

Wrap - up from the 2007 show
The weather was good for the 2007 show. Al points west of Torrington CT received showers overnight and kept Western CT and Eastern NY show vehicles from attending. We had 153 vehicles participate.
I would like to thank our many sponsors who helped make this another great show. Bolles/ Chrysler/ Dodge/ Jeep of Ellington Hartford, Cantale Drywall of New Britain, Gem Jewelry of Vernon, Quality Inn of Vernon and Shop-Rite of Manchester. These fine companies provided food and door prizes.
Our fine staff of volunteers included Sue, Nancy Matthews, Emily Noonan, Joseph Sokola, Charlie & Patti Jackowski and their nephews Zak & Matt Newton, Phillip, Richard and Steven Cooper, Al & Richard Rick, Nick Hooks, John Quinn, Brian Catale, Phil Verrillo, Tony Mazzola and Chet Greenwood.
The Best of Show trophy went to Roy Culver with his 1934 Chrysler Air Flow. This year we gave a trophy for best paint and it went to Jim Cyr with his 1966 Dodge Dart.
Also this year we gave a long distance trophy. Paul Graveline drove all the way from California for this show with his 1961 Chrysler Imperial. This is an original Black plate car.
To give a special thanks to Pam and Gary Beineke for their continued support for this show, the Best Engineered Trophy was presented.
The class winners are listed on the 2007 Winners Page.
